When you are, in Sydney with kids, a trip to Featherdale is a must.
It is a Wildlife Park for people who have never seen Australian critters. The kids had a great time there feeding and playing with the animals.
Lily was scared at first, but pretty soon she was happy to be around the animals. Of course, when the wallaby started to nibble on her little fingers she backed off quick. It is a Wildlife Park for people who have never seen Australian critters. The pigeons wanted their share too.

Tyler and the goats didn't get along so well. In fact, he didn't like them one bit.
Lily had no such difficulty with goats. Once she figured out that the right thing to do was to share, they got along fine.
No trip to Featherdale is complete without the Koalas. Lily was a little scared of them. But they are sooo... cute!

comment? Of course I want to comment
on this blog. What a good display of the fun we had taking the kids to see the strange animals. You didn't show most of the animals that noone would even believe are real and that we actually saw them! What about the platypus, the flying foxes, tasmanian devils, echidnas, wombats etc, etc. What a strange land it is! I loved being there with all of you. Janene
I know, the simple old barn animals were oddly captivating as well. It was fun to visit a zoo without many rules, yes indeed. And I love that Mikey's in none of the photos - he was just moving too fast!
